Welcome to
my-twenty-somethings.com
Dear reader,
I don’t know where you sit in this moment of your life as you read this, and I hope it’s not a bad place.
I hope you’re focusing on yourself in the best way possible.
I hope you’re someone who’s working on their career, or going to school full-time, possibly part-time with a job on the side, too.
Or I hope you’re the person who’s taking a gap year, maybe even a prolonged one that turned into years (like me).
Or a person who’s taking on a full-time job and probably another one to provide for their family (also me at some point, except instead of family it was just me).
Or maybe even a single parent who’s going to school and working hard to give themselves and their baby/ies the best life a parent could provide (in my experience, many single parents have been the most wise and courageous people I’ve ever met).
And I even hope you’re someone who isn’t doing anything I listed and doing their very best to get out of bed in the morning (you guessed it, also me at some point).
I was the person who always felt that I was falling behind while all my friends graduated and pursued their careers. I learned early on that this isn’t a race.
I’m cheering you on! Just remember that very day is another opportunity to face your fears and try again. Whatever path you decide to take, or the one you didn’t have a choice BUT to take, you got this.
Your twenties are the years of self-discovery, poor financial decisions, career and lifestyle changes, relationships that “fail,” and so so so much more!
Lastly, I would like to make the disclaimer that I am in no way a professional or “qualified” to give advice. My goal is to help ease you into your twenties and share my personal experiences, how I overcame obstacles, and how I am surviving the rest of my twenties!
Happy reading!
Personal Growth, Mental Health, and Self-Care
Explore and expand on your authenticity. With a world moving too fast for us to comprehend, take some time to slow down and rediscover your path.
I’m still discovering my own voice, but I want to share what’s worked for me and what needs more attention.
Financial Independence
There is no “rule” book to making financial choices. Not everyone was born poor, and not everyone was born rich. But one thing we have in common, we all crave financial independence, literacy, and freedom.
Here’s what I learned to do and what not to do.
College Life and Educational Resources
Some of us, like me, made the choice to take a gap year after high school. Others decided to go straight for it. Whatever choice you made, as long as you made it, it’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
I’m sharing some pointers, journal prompts, YouTube videos, and any resource that’s been a guide in this journey.

Family Dynamics, Relationships, and Social Life
Loneliness, whether you choose to be with it or not, will find you. It may have already found you. For some of us, it never left.
It’s important to balance out your life in these areas.
